Colony Hotels to Move to New Headquarters

Colony Hotels & Resorts of Sherman Oaks, a unit of Carlson Cos. that owns 37 hotels in Hawaii, California and six other states, plans to move its headquarters to Minneapolis next year.
Carlson is a diversified company based in Minneapolis. Among its units is Ask Mr. Foster, a former Van Nuys-based travel agency chain that Carlson bought in 1979 from Peter Ueberroth, who went on to head the 1984 Summer Olympics organizing efforts.
