More than 6,700 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $50 million was seized in Miami aboard two arriving freighters. The latest seizure came after U.S. Customs Service agents, acting on a tip, spent the weekend staking out the Panamanian-registered freighter Santo Domingo Express. On Monday, after no one came to unload the cocaine and the captain tried to leave port, agents seized the vessel and found 4,792 pounds of cocaine in a ballast tank, a customs spokesman said. Last Thursday, customs agents boarded the Haitian freighter Cha Cha on the Miami River and found 1,941 pounds of cocaine inside a fuel tank.
