Dannemeyer

In response to William Dannemeyer’s letter of Dec. 11, the voters of California have now defeated three AIDS propositions by overwhelming majorities. How much more money that could be used for research and for caring for people with AIDS must be wasted in defeating propositions such as 102 before Dannemeyer understands that the people of California do not agree with his viewpoint.

It never ceases to amaze me how elected officials work against the recommendations of researchers, doctors, the presidential AIDS commission and other informed groups and individuals to promote their own morals and agendas.

If Dannemeyer continues to ignore the people of California by authorizing another bill or proposition along the lines of 102, perhaps the next vote by the people should be a recall of him.
