China, Bangladesh to Work on Flood Control

DHAKA, Bangladesh — Bangladesh and China have agreed to work jointly to fight devastating floods that kill thousands of people and destroy millions of dollars worth of property in the region each year, the official BSS news agency reported last week.
At least 3,000 people perished in Bangladesh’s latest floods in August and September.
