Arabs and Jews at Meeting in Stockholm

On March 13, 1938, the Nazis occupied my native Austria. Within 24 hours, I fled to Paris. My family, less lucky, stayed and died in the gas chambers of Auschwitz.

In Paris at the age of 23, I saw scenes I shall never forget--lines of Jews outside each country’s embassies in need of entry visas. No entry! Not United States, not Canada, not Australia. Empty continents turned them down, leaving them to die later when the Nazis took Paris. It was then I realized this must never happen again. We must have a Jewish state and that state must be a refuge.

From the pleasant wine-and-cheese parties of Malibu, enter Stanley Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum compares “The Chairman” (Yasser Arafat) with (Menachem) Begin and (Yitzhak) Shamir. He must know they only blew up military installations. They did not hijack a ship and hurt harmless cripples in wheelchairs. I believe Sheinbaum should leave the struggle for a just peace to the men and women who do the fighting and the bleeding, and he should stay in the comfort of Brentwood, collecting money for causes.
