CMS Enhancements said Tuesday that two of its four founders are leaving the Tustin computer products company to pursue “other personal and business interests.”

The departing executives are Tom Ong, executive vice president of finance, and Mason Tarkeshian, executive vice president of operations.

CMS said no replacements for Ong and Tarkeshian have been named.

Ong, 60, said in an interview that he has been planning to retire for about 6 months and that other company executives were aware of his plans.

“It’s been 4 years now, and I’m finding that the more we grow, the more we need talented people to do a better job,” Ong said. He said he is anxious to travel and to enjoy other personal interests.

Ong said he will remain as a consultant to the company. He said he is not sure if he will continue as a CMS director.

Tarkeshian, who is also a company director, could not be reached for comment.

Founded in 1984, CMS’s sales have skyrocketed in the last several years, growing from $10 million in 1985 to $151 million in the fiscal year ended June 30.

CMS manufactures data storage devices for personal computers.
