Local News in Brief : Irvine : Women’s Center Offers Divorce Workshops

The Women’s Opportunity Center, a nonprofit community outreach group at UC Irvine, will hold two workshops to help participants with decisions surrounding divorce.

The first workshop, “Do I Want a Divorce?” will deal with legal and emotional factors involved in divorce. Fee for the workshop is $25.

The second, “Issues of Divorce,” is designed to help people involved in various stages of divorce, from preparation to recovery. A $20 fee will be charged for the course.

Both classes will be led by Jane Mitchell, a therapist for the center. Each 8-week class is limited to 12 participants and will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 18.
