Yields on four-year Treasury notes rose in auction to the highest level in 14 months. The average yield was 9.22%, up from 8.76% at the last auction Sept. 28. It was the highest rate since four-year notes averaged 9.24% on Oct. 6, 1987. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 9.12%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,968.90. A total of $7.26 billion in notes were sold out of bids totaling $23.03 billion.
