Fullerton : Administrator Chosen for Leaders Program

Barbara C. Hollowell, director of special projects for Fullerton College, has been chosen to participate in the Leaders program, an international leadership training program for women administrators at 2-year colleges.

Hollowell, of Laguna Niguel, and other program participants will be paired with campus mentors to work on projects designed to aid their institutions and help their careers.

The program will include instruction and practice in supervisory and human relations skills, planning and budgeting, as well as discussions with national experts on issues confronting 2-year colleges during the next 15 years.

Hollowell has been at Fullerton College for 14 months. Before that she was director of Disabled Persons Civil Rights for the state of Oregon. She has also been a junior and senior high school teacher and an instructor at Western Oregon State College.

Hollowell has a master’s degree in library science and a doctorate in education from Florida State University. She also has a law degree from Willamette College of Law in Salem, Ore.
