NATION : Union Seeks Work-at-Home Ban

WASHINGTON —
The International Ladies Garment Workers Union today asked a federal court to prohibit the Labor Department from implementing regulations that would allow working at home in five apparel-related industries.
The suit, filed in federal district court here, argues that Labor Secretary Ann Dore McLaughlin acted arbitrarily in approving the regulations.
