Greece defended its anti-terrorism policies Thursday, two days after U.S. congressmen said that Athens appears to have adopted an attitude of complete surrender to guerrillas.

“Greece condemns all acts of armed violence against innocent persons and takes every measure to prevent them in cooperation with the international community,” government spokesman Sotiris Kostopoulos told reporters.

On Tuesday, 11 U.S. congressmen introduced a resolution in the House urging Greece to extradite Palestinian Mohammed Rashid, under indictment in the United States for a 1982 airliner bombing.
