Ringo Starr, in town to promote his new PBS children’s TV program, “Shining Time Station,” in which he plays a tiny conductor with magical powers, was asked by a reporter to describe his life style. “Rich and famous,” replied the superstar. “I started out wanting to be in the best band in Liverpool and I ended up being in the best band in the land, so there’s nothing much I can do about it.”
