Security Pacific Merchant Bank, Los Angeles, has named Edward G. Hartmann president and chief executive at Security Pacific Investment Group, Security Pacific’s U.S. and international funds management group. It has approximately $18.5 billion in assets under management. Hartmann, 53, was previously president of IDS Growth Spectrum Advisers in Minneapolis and a vice president of IDS Corp.
