Ilona Staller, an Italian porn queen and politician who is scheduled to appear Thursday for a five-day run at San Francisco’s leading sex emporium, has moved a step closer to gaining a visa, a U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service spokesman said. The INS approved her application this week and forwarded it to the American Embassy in Rome, where the final decision will be made to let Staller, whose Italian nickname is Cicciolina (Little Fleshy One), into the country. Since her surprise election in 1987 to Italy’s Parliament as a member of the Radical Party, Staller has both shocked and amused Italy with public displays of nudity.
