Slumping SFE Technologies Loses $4.3 Million in Year

SFE Technologies, a San Fernando electronics company that has struggled since 1985, said it lost $3.1 million in the fourth quarter that ended Oct. 29, and $4.3 million for the fiscal year.

Sales fell 8% to $8.8 million in the quarter. Sales also dropped 8% for the year, to $36.2 million.

SFE has been in a severe slump since 1985, when it was hit hard by an electronics industry recession.
