Santa Monica : Education Award Presented
The first Hayward Award for Excellence in Education has been given to Jack Fry, a 30-year instructor at Santa Monica College and a seasonal ranger at Yosemite National Park.
Fry, who teaches human anatomy and physiology, is one of four community college instructors to be chosen for the award, which was sponsored by the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges.
Winners were selected from 36 instructors nominated by the academic senates at individual campuses. Fry was selected for the Los Angeles region.
