Gabelli Group Increases Its Stake in Kerr to 23.6%

A group led by Mario J. Gabelli has boosted its stake to 23.6% of Kerr Glass Manufacturing Corp., according to the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The group made net purchases of 41,400 common shares from Nov. 11 to Jan. 5 for $8 to $9.06 each. It now holds 909,640 shares of Los Angeles-based Kerr. The group also made net purchases of 9,000 preferred shares between Nov. 8 and Jan. 5 at prices ranging from $17 to $18.50 each.
