3 Arrested in Sinking of Tour Boat Near Rio

RIO DE JANEIRO — Brazilian police have arrested the owners of a tourist boat that sank on New Year’s Eve, killing at least 55 partygoers, authorities said Monday.
Two of the boat’s owners plus the owner of the travel agency that operated the ship were arrested Sunday night and charged with violating transport safety codes, a police spokesman said.
