Gun Control and Tragedy in a Stockton Schoolyard

Share

In the article about the grass-roots crusade to back gun control (Jan. 19) Steven Langford, marketing director for ChinaSports Inc., a U.S. importer of the Chinese AK-47, says most of the people who buy these guns use them to shoot tin cans and hunt small- and medium-sized game.

Oh, really! What marksman takes pride in mowing down a bunch of tin cans with a burst from a semiautomatic weapon?

What “sportsman” hunts rabbits and squirrels with a high-powered assault rifle capable of firing over 100 rounds per minute?
