The FBI found no evidence that Rep. Donald E. Lukens (R-Ohio) tried to bribe a woman who accused him of having a sexual relationship with her teen-age daughter, an FBI official said. Dave Hanna, FBI supervisor at the agency’s Columbus office, said the FBI entered the Lukens investigation in November because of a possible federal crime involving a juvenile. He said the investigation found no such violation. Television station WBNS in Columbus reported that the woman said Lukens offered her a government job after she confronted him in November. She reportedly accused him of being involved with her teen-age daughter, beginning when the girl was 13. The girl is now 17, the station said.
