Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : 25th Dead Sea Lion Found on the Beach
Another dead sea lion washed ashore on Huntington City Beach on Thursday, the 22nd found on that city’s beaches in the past 2 weeks, and the 25th in Orange County.
Huntington City Beach lifeguard Greg Crow said the sea lion was discovered about 7 a.m. near Beach Boulevard.
On Wednesday, three dead sea lions were found at Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach and in the Surfside area of Seal Beach.
The first of the dead sea lions washed ashore at Huntington Beach on Jan. 21.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of death of the marine mammals.
