Serial Killer Bundy’s Execution and Death Penalty Controversy
There is something very eerie and medieval about 500 people cheering an execution (“Bundy Is Electrocuted as Crowd of 500 Cheers,” Part I, Jan. 25). I suspect that those people were not as concerned with the fate of Bundy as they were excited at the thrill of killing. The fact that many of them were college students is perhaps further evidence that the Morton Downey generation is short on brains and long on blood lust.
