What do Peter Falk, Burt Reynolds and Louis Gossett Jr. have in common?

Well, starting Monday at 9 p.m., they will share a weekly time slot reserved for “The ABC Mystery Movie.”

In this new series of rotating two-hour movies, Falk returns to prime-time TV as the bumbling but brilliant police detective “Columbo.” He first played the role--winning three Emmy Awards along the way--on “The NBC Mystery Movie” during the 1970s.

Reynolds stars as “B. L. Stryker,” a former New Orleans cop who becomes a private detective in Palm Beach. “Stryker” arrives next Monday.

And in “Gideon Oliver,” which premieres Feb. 20, Gossett portrays a crime-solving anthropologist who disdains guns and instead defends himself with his skills as a kick-boxer.

On Monday’s installment of “Columbo,” a psychic (Anthony Andrews) thinks he has committed the perfect crime after murdering a magician who could expose him as a charlatan.
