Dentsu Burson-Marsteller, a joint venture between Japan’s largest advertising agency and a major U.S. public relations firm, opened an office in Los Angeles to provide communications counseling to Japanese companies doing business in the United States and based on the West Coast.
Dentsu Burson-Marsteller, which was formed last December, has other offices in New York and Tokyo. Hironobu Shibuya, president of Dentsu Burson-Marsteller, said extending the company’s services to the Los Angeles market was a logical and necessary step.
Richard de Leon will run the Los Angeles office. He previously was with the Los Angeles office of Fleishman-Hillard.
