Local News in Brief : West County : Bolsa Chica Wetlands Future to Be Discussed
The future of the Bolsa Chica wetlands will be discussed by the Democratic Club of West Orange County at its 7:30 p.m. meeting today.
Two top officers of the Amigos de Bolsa Chica, a citizens’ group working to preserve the wetlands, will discuss the progress and problems the group has experienced.
Shirley Detloff, a founding member of the group, is the Amigos’ president and is a longtime activist in the Democratic Party. Terry Dolton, vice president of the group, will also speak.
The meeting will be held at the Parkside Restaurant, 16625 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley. It is open to the public at no charge. For information, call (714) 898-1882.
