A former assistant coach with Canada’s weightlifting team admitted giving his urine to one of his athletes in a doomed attempt to beat a drug test before the 1988 Olympics.

Raphael Zuffellato told a federal inquiry that he gave his urine to lifter David Bolduc.

Bolduc of Montreal and two other weightlifters, Parjit Gill of Burnaby, British Columbia, and Jacques Demers of Montreal, have testified they allowed urine to be injected into their bladders last September.
