Long Beach : Preservation Officer Will Review Demolition Permits

Share

Requests for demolition permits for buildings more than 50 years old will be reviewed by Long Beach’s new neighborhood and historic preservation officer, the City Council has decided.

The change in the process is being made in an attempt to save more old, historic structures in the city. Planning Director Robert Paternoster said that the review process will ensure that the city is aware that a historic structure might be endangered before it is too late.
