A medical student was ordered Wednesday to stand trial for murder in the strangulation of his wife of seven years.
Charlie Richardson, 30, of San Diego is accused of killing Maria (Bet) Richardson, 30, whose body was found Dec. 20 in an El Cajon lab where she worked.
San Diego Municipal Judge H. Ronald Domnitz bound Richardson over to Superior Court after hearing testimony for a day and a half in a preliminary hearing.
Richardson’s trial date will be set Feb. 24. He remains free on $50,000 bail.
