Powell Has Pneumonia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Retired Supreme Court Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr. has developed pneumonia and will remain hospitalized for several more days, a spokeswoman at Baptist Medical Center said Wednesday. Powell, 81, is being treated with antibiotics, remains in good condition and has no respiratory distress, she said.
