NATION : Arab-Americans Protest B’nai B’rith
A group of Arab-Americans announced a campaign today against a leading Jewish human rights group over a letter alleging that Arabs on college campuses are “poisoning the minds of our young.”
The American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee accused B’nai B’rith International of sending “hate literature” to its members in a fund-raising letter designed to combat anti-Semitic propaganda and cult influence on Jewish college students. B’nai B’rith has said that the letter was a mistake and that unmailed copies were withdrawn. The organization has apologized privately to the Arab group but has rejected demands that it reveal how many letters were sent.
