Women Are Main Providers in Third World, U.N. Reports

UNITED NATIONS —
Women produce and market 80% of the food in developing countries, providing crucial services to Third World economies with exhaustive labor, the United Nations said Wednesday.
“Productive activities, along with their reproductive ones, usually add up to long and exhausting days for poor women,” according to the annual report of the U.N. Development Fund for Women.
