HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

Closings: Monday marks the observance of Lincoln’s Birthday, and Feb. 20 is observed as Presidents’ Day, marking the birthdays of Presidents George Washington and Lincoln. Following is a list of local closings. GOVERNMENT: State and county offices will be closed Monday and Feb. 20. Federal offices will be closed Feb. 20. City offices in Westminster will be open both days; municipal offices in Brea, Costa Mesa, Irvine and San Juan Capistrano will be closed both days. All other city offices will be closed only on Feb. 20.

MAIL: Mail will be delivered Monday, but not on Feb. 20.

TRASH: Trash will not be picked up on Monday or on Feb. 20 in Brea, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Placentia and Yorba Linda. Refuse will be picked up Monday, but not on Feb. 20 in Buena Park, Cypress and Seal Beach. In all other cities, refuse pickup schedules remain unchanged.

COURTS: County and state courts will be closed Monday and Feb. 20. Federal courts will be closed only on Feb. 20.

BANKS: Banks will be open Monday, but most will close on Feb. 20.

SCHOOLS: In the Capistrano and Los Alamitos unified school districts, schools will be closed Friday and Feb. 20. In the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, schools will be closed Feb. 20 to 22. All other public schools will be closed Monday and Feb. 20.
