Chicago Doctors Come to Aid of Thai Children

BANGKOK, Thailand —
A group of Chicago doctors and other medical personnel arrived Friday to operate free of charge on 100 Thai children born with cleft lips and palates, a Thai doctor said.
The group will leave Monday for Chaiyaphum in northeastern Thailand, where children from 1 to 12 years of age await operations to correct the birth defect, said the doctor, Dusit Sundaranu.
