Trio-Tech International Loses $195,000 in Quarter

Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando maker of testing equipment for the semiconductor industry, said it lost $195,000 in the second fiscal quarter that ended Dec. 30, contrasted with a profit of $82,000 a year earlier. Sales rose to $4.7 million from $4.5 million.

For the six months that ended Dec. 30, Trio-Tech lost $159,000 compared to a loss of $178,000 for the same period a year ago. Six-month revenue climbed to $9.1 million from $8 million.
