Willie R. Barnes, who was California Commissioner of Corporations from 1975 to 1979, was recently named a partner with the Los Angeles law firm of Wyman, Bautzer, Kuchel & Silbert. Barnes was a senior partner in Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg, Tunney & Phillips from 1979 to 1988 and headed its corporate and securities department.
