Philharmonic Benefit Concert Rescheduled

German conductor Christof Perick will conduct the rescheduled Los Angeles Philharmonic Pension Fund Benefit, Tuesday night at 8 in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Perick will be on the podium in place of Andre Previn, the orchestra’s music director, who is on tour with the Vienna Philharmonic.

The concert, featuring violinist Itzhak Perlman as soloist, was rescheduled from Feb. 7, when Perlman suffered an ear infection.

The program has been altered. Perlman will play the Violin Concerto by Beethoven, as planned, but the Dvorak symphony, originally No. 8, is now No. 9, “From the New World.
