L.A. Gang Epidemic

Councilwoman Molina says regarding gang members: “The 17-year-old, unfortunately, you almost have to write off. . . . We’ve injured them so much.”

What does she mean “we.” “We” have done nothing. They are the offenders. They have left their graffiti and acts of violence from Santa Monica to God only knows where. They have ruined the beauty of our area and made us prisoners in our own homes. They have ruined our whole country.

When are people, including gang members, going to be expected to be responsible for their own actions? Nowadays “we” take the blame for the homeless, the illegitimate babies, AIDS, murders, burglars, drug users and pushers, and on and on and on. “We” are not only blamed for causing them maladies, but “we” are expected to foot the before and after bills in connection with them.

It is high time everyone, rich or poor, man or woman of whatever race or color, whether citizen or alien, stand up and be responsible for themselves and their own actions.

I am sick to death of this “we” nonsense.
