Ade Mafe led Britain to a 1-2 finish in the men’s 200-meter dash at the European Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Hague, Netherlands.

Mafe was timed in 20.92 seconds, with John Regis second in 21.00.

The Soviet Union had four gold medals, five silver and four bronze for a high of 13 medals. Britain had nine, including four gold, four silver and one bronze.
