Viacom Inc: The New York-based communications and entertainment company posted a loss of $123 million for 1988, compared to a $161-million loss in 1987. Revenue for the year increased 25% to $1.26 billion. For the fourth quarter, the firm reported a loss of $26 million, versus a loss of $49 million a year earlier. Revenue in the quarter rose 34% to $355 million, boosted by domestic syndication of “The Cosby Show.”
