Seven Yachts Are Closing on Puerto Vallarta

Seven boats in the yacht race from Marina del Rey to Puerto Vallarta were within 300 miles of the finish Wednesday and were expected to finish today.
The race started Saturday with 14 entries.
Leading the fleet was Maverick, the 70-foot Nelson-Marek sloop skippered by Les Crouch of San Diego, with an ETA of 4:30 p.m. today.
