A Transbrasil airlines jet with 119 people aboard was preparing to take off when it collided with a 737 belonging to the Sao Paulo state airline, VASP, which had just landed, the officials said. Reports said that six people aboard the VASP plane were injured and that the left wing and rear windows of the plane were partly destroyed, as was the Transbrasil jet’s right wing.
