Western Union Corp.: The Upper Saddle River, N.J., communications and information services firm lost $1 million in 1988, contrasted with net income of $88 million in 1987. Revenue rose 9% to $876 million. For the fourth quarter, the firm reported a loss of $244 million, contrasted with a profit of $105 million a year ago; revenue fell 3% to $186 million. The firm attributed the results principally to restructuring charges.
