A drug company is recalling about 20,000 vials of a vaccine used to immunize children against diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough because of a labeling error, government officials said Wednesday.

The Food and Drug Administration announced that Connaught Laboratories of Swiftwater, Pa., had notified 1,865 distributors, pharmacists and doctors across the nation to return all vials of the DTP vaccine with lot number 8M91039.
