Social Worker’s Tragic Death

Mental health workers should receive special training in how to deal with agitated clients. They should be taught how to avoid provoking a client and how to calm an already angry individual.

It is very possible that no matter what Robbyn Panitch had done it would not have saved her. However, it seems extremely unwise to me to take two phone calls while such an obviously explosive man was in her office. One hundred percent of her attention should have been focused on this hostile client.
