The $300-million Water Garden, a 1.26-million-square-foot office complex under development in Santa Monica, took top national honors in its category of “Best Site Plan up to 49 Acres” at the 21st annual conference of the National Assn. of Industrial and Office Parks.
The award is the second honor this year won by the project for its designers, McLarand, Vasquez & Partners. It will occupy 17 acres bounded by Colorado Avenue, 26th Street, Olympic and Cloverfield boulevards.
The winning combination of developers J.H. Snyder Co., California Federal Savings and architect McLarand, Vasquez & Partners was also honored by the association with two merit awards for Wilshire Courtyard, winner of an additional seven design and planning awards.
