USC will play Arizona State tonight in a Pacific 10 Conference basketball tournament game at 9 p.m. at the Forum.
The Trojans (9-21 overall, 2-16 in the Pac-10) finished last in the conference’s regular season. The Sun Devils (12-15, 5-13) were ninth.
“We’re like a time bomb waiting to go off,” said USC Coach George Raveling. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we won a couple of games and moved on in the tournament.”
The winner will play 12th-ranked Stanford in a quarterfinal game Friday night at 7.
