Tishman Realty & Construction Co. has announced two top executive promotions at its Los Angeles-based office: Joseph B. Garron to chief operating officer of Tishman Construction Corp. of California, where he is also executive vice president; and, Frank Hickman to vice president of the New York-based parent company, as well as chief operating officer and executive vice president of Tishman Realty Corp. of California.

Santa Monica-based Maguire Thomas Partners has appointed Harry Topping project manager for the Southern California Gas Center, a 52-story tower in downtown Los Angeles. The building will be part of a landmark development which will provide funds for the renovation and expansion of the historic Central Library.

IDM Corp. of Long Beach has added Robert A. Manarino to its staff as vice president, acquisitions-retail. He will focus on acquiring locations for developing and managing shopping centers in Southern California, particularly in the Long Beach area.

Bob Wells has joined Costain Homes, Inc. of Newport Beach as senior project manager. Wells’ experience and knowledge of for-sale and rental residential development will serve the company’s building program projected for Riverside and Orange counties.

Steve McArthur has entered BCE Development Inc. as vice president of its shopping center division, headquartered in Irvine. He will be responsible for the acquisition of sites in the Southwest, as well as the development and construction of BCE’s active retail projects.

Braemar Homes has announced the appointment of John H. Cornish as vice president of land acquisition, with responsibilities for acquiring residential, commercial and retail locations for development. Braemar Homes is based in Agoura Hills and focuses on Southern California and the Sun Belt.

Architects

Kenji Nomura has been named an associate of the Nadel Partnership. The firm, with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County, does master planning and design of commercial and residential multi-story buildings, and retail developments.

Sachson & Snow A.I.A., Architects in Santa Monica has announced a new associate: Robert E. Dawson. Dawson has been with the firm since 1986.

Interior Designers

The San Fernando Valley chapter of International Society of Interior Designers has elected Marsha Broderick president for a two-year term. She heads an all-female construction company, Pink Ladies Design & Construction, Calabasas.

Brokers

A third-generation member of the McMillin family, Scott McMillin, has been elected company president. He joined the organization in 1981 and, in his new role, he will direct activities in both the new-home and resale divisions of the San Diego-based firm.

ACCOLADES: The president of Overton, Moore & Associates Inc. of Los Angeles, Stanley A. Moore, has received the 1988 Crystal Award given by Women in Commercial Real Estate for encouraging the advancement of women.

Sue Glenn, associated with Podley Caughey & Doan, was named Realtor-Salesperson of the Year by the Pasadena Board of Realtors. The award reflects the member’s business success, cooperation with other members, and marks her significant contribution to the organization.

Jerry Hassler has joined Newport Pacific Funding Corp. in Newport Beach as vice president of sales. He will supervise 20 loan consultants and expedite the loan process for homebuyers.
