NATION : Guards Strike at Los Alamos Lab

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. — Security guards at Los Alamos National Laboratory went on strike today and were replaced at their posts by non-union workers and supervisors.
“The security of the laboratory is not in any jeopardy,” said James Breen, a spokesman for the government complex where the atomic bomb was developed during World War II and where military research is still done.
