The Cookie Crumbles: A self-proclaimed “shock jock” disc jokey in San Jose has been suspended for 10 days without pay for his offensive treatment of two 9-year-old Brownies who visited his show. Perry Stone swore at the girls and told them to pocket Girl Scout cookie proceeds and tell customers they needed the money to bail their parents out jail. KSJO-FM general manager David Baronfeld said Stone exercised poor “moral judgment. . . . Involving children in his repertoire was something he had been advised against ever since he came to the station in December of ’87.”
