A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded Friday night in Southeast San Diego in what police said was a drive-by shooting.
Sgt. Nate Caplan said the unidentified victim was standing with a group of people in a corner parking lot in the 5400 block of Olive Street about 7:50 p.m. when they began to argue with two men in a pickup truck.
Caplan said the truck drove off but returned, and several shots were fired at the group. The teen-ager was struck in the head.
The victim was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
Caplan said two suspects were later arrested in the truck and were being questioned by police.
